Canceling, Retrying, Pausing and Resuming Processes
The Process app supports applying different actions to processes.
n Which action can be applied to a process is defined by the process provider (for example, Asset Management or Production Management) and process configuration. Therefore, you will not see all actions for each process type, some process types might offer no action at all.
Depending on the process type, the Process app can show the following action buttons for processes:

(Platform automation actions only) Indicates that an auto-retry is scheduled for the failed action. When you hover the mouse pointer over the auto-retry button, a tool-tip show the scheduled retry date and time (format according to the time zone and time format set in your User Settings). You can also click the auto-retry button to initiate a manual retry before the scheduled retry is executed. |

Cancels the process underway (in status Created, Pending, Running, Paused). The Cancel button is shown for active processes that allow cancellation and for failed platform automation actions with a scheduled retry. |

Pauses a process (in status Created, Pending, or Running) and sets its status to Paused. |

Resumes a paused process. |
Note the following limitations for canceling Asset Management processes:

The cancellation feature is only available for processes that have been configured to support cancellation.

You can only cancel parent (top-level) processes.

If you cancel a parent process, the cancel information is send to all child processes. Only if the process configuration of the affected child processes allows cancellation, the child processes are also canceled.

If you cancel a process, its user tasks are canceled and removed from the Tasks app.
To cancel a process underway:

Click the Cancel button located to the right of the active process.
While the process is being canceled, the State column shows the status “Cancelling.” As soon as the process is canceled, the status “Cancelled” is shown. Depending on the process configuration, the status might also be “Completed” or “Failed.”
The Cancel button is disabled and turns blue for 5 seconds, and is then removed from the process. If supported by the process provider, a Retry button might be shown.
To retry a canceled or failed process or failed platform automation action:

Click the Retry button located to the right of the process.
The button is disabled and turns blue for 5 seconds. In case of an error, an error message is shown.

(Platform automation action only) To initiate a manual retry before the next scheduled retry is executed, click the Auto-retry button.
A manual retry is triggered. The button is disabled and turns blue for 5 seconds, and is then replaced by the manual Retry button.
To pause a process:

Click the Pause button located to the right of a process in status Created, Pending, or Running.
The process execution is paused and the status switches to Paused. The Pause button is disabled and turns blue for 5 seconds, and is then replaced by the Resume button.
To resume a paused process:

Click the Resume button located to the right of the paused process.
The process execution continues. The Resume button is disabled and turns blue for 5 seconds, and is then replaced by the Pause button.
