Moving or Copying a Folder
You can move and copy folders with their contents in the Asset Management Workspace by using drag and drop. You can move and copy several folders from the Browse app’s Results area. Within the directory tree, you can copy or move one folder at the same time. If there is already a folder with the same name in the target folder, a message opens and the folder is not moved or pasted.
Your ability to move or copy a folder depends on Asset Management rules. The folder permissions in Asset Management Workspace must allow moving the selected folder and adding it to the target folder.
You can move and copy folders from the Browse app’s Results area to the following targets:
-
A folder in the directory of the same or another Browse app instance
-
A sub-folder of the folder currently being open in the Results area in the same Browse app instance
-
The Results area of a folder in another Browse app instance
During the drag and drop operation, a number appears in the upper-left corner of the drag window that indicates the number of items that are being affected.
