Archiving an Asset to MediaCentral | Asset Management

You can archive Production Management assets and their media to a MediaCentral | Asset Management (MAM) system connected to MediaCentral | Cloud UX.

To use this service, you must ensure that both the system configuration and the archive profiles for Production Management and Asset Management are properly set up. For detailed guidance on configuring these settings, please refer to the MediaCentral | Asset Management documentation available on the Avid Knowledge Base.

To archive an asset to MediaCentral Asset Management:

  1. Navigate to the location of the Production Management asset you intend to archive.

  2. Do one of the following:

    • Right-click on the asset and select Actions > target MAM system > Archive <Asset Type> from the context menu.

    • Select the asset, click the App Menu button and select Actions > target MAM system > Archive <Asset Type>.

  3. Provide a name for the process in the Main Title field. This title helps you to identify the process in the Process app. If you do not provide a title, the default title “Archive <Asset Type>” is shown as the process title in the Process app.

  4. Select a profile from the Archive Profile menu.

  5. (optional) You can select the priority level at which the archive request is processed.

  6. Click OK.

    The Restore Asset(s) process is created.

  7. (optional) Check the status of this task using the Process app.
