Displaying an Asset's Media Status

The Media Status property allows you to determine the state of your assets and the resolution of its media. You can view both MediaCentral Production Management and Avid Production Management assets' Media Status in multiple ways:

  • Through the Browse app, in List view

  • Through the Browse app, in Card view

  • Through the Search app, in List view

  • Through the Search app, in Card view

The Media Status column or identifier is enabled by default so you should be able to see the asset's state automatically as you browse or search. However, you also have the option to remove or add it back to the column by disabling or enabling it from the Display Options menu. You can either scroll through the list and look for the Media Status property or simply enter Media Status to filter the list.

While you can see the Media Status of both Production Management Assets, there is a difference with how they are represented through its indicators. For MediaCentral Production Management assets, you can view Media Status as string values, while for Avid Production Management assets, you can view the Media Status as icons.
